meth

I read this book called "Methland" a few days ago because I had to write an essay about meth for some scholarship.. I thought that it was interesting... but now all I can think about is meth (I told that to my mom and she got mad) Seriously though it;s all i've been thinking about lately.. and I think I want to do a piece about how people are "trapped" by their drug addictions... but i dunno, do you think that's too much of a stretch? I also don't think I can represent it in a way that isn't cheesy/doens't look like I'm addicted to drugs.. sketch. so, I'm open to ideas

So I'm beginning to like the idea of "Trapped" wayyy more than water... I keep having ideas that I want to do over the course of the year and I'm really excited to get to work on them.

I took a few pictures at the HP7 premier too! I was going for the "pictures of groups" catagorie.. but the satanic bridgeport employees kept ruining my fun... oh well, there will be time for more pictures this thanksgiving!

TRAPPED

soo I decided water was kind of boring.. and somehow transitioned to thinking that it would be fun to explore the elements and principals of art through the concept of being "trapped".  Not in just a "trapped in a cage" kind of way... more like exploring the different things that can act as a trap.

Okay.. I've decided that water is the way to go. I'm especially drawn to the eerie, drippy look of acrylic and water colors of weird deep sea stuff... which sounds a little weird. I was inspired by another lakeridge artist in a concentration a few years ago. soo that's what I'm leaning towards for my concentration.

Is this necessary?

I don't really know if I need to do a blog post... but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry!

I've thought about concentrations a lot lately, and I keep coming back to water. What about water? I have no idea. But I guess it's a step in the right direction. If anybody has any concentration ideas/variations on "water" that would be fun... please let me know :)

I'm excited for our picture tomorrow-- it's been a very pirate-y week, and i'm excited we have this to top it off. It makes me wanna give a shout out to my bud Patchy.. who actually kind of sucks in every episode.. but is deserving none the less.
